In the summer of Kim's freshman year she and her family go down to their Cape house. One day Kim is walking on the beach and sees this girl about the same age as her lying face down in the sand. Kim picks her head up and discovers that the girl she is unconscious! She rushes back to her house to get her mother.
After about what seems like an an hour of CPR, the ambulance finally gets there and takes the girl to the hospital. The police kept asking Kim all these question about who this girl is and if she knows her. Kim explains that she has never met her before. When the girl finally wakes up Kim and her mom get to go into her room to see if they can figure anything out about her and how/where she came from. The girl says her name is Allison, Alli for short, and she lives in Boston, Mass. She also says she was here with her family for vacation. She remembers she was swimming and thinks she hit her head on something in the water.
The weird thing about Allison and Kim is that they look a lot alike and are the same age. After Alli gets released from the hospital two days later, she comes home with Kim's family. Alli has no idea where her family is. "Don't you think its weird that no one from Alli's family is looking for her and their are no missing persons reports for a 14 year old girl," Kim said to her mom. After about two weeks of looking for Alli's parents, they figure out something that will change their life's forever!!!!
